Horsemanship & Pony Camps

If you want to talk about fun filled days of nothing but learning about riding, horses, animals, playing games, crafts, horse care, and so much more…. We have several camps lined up for your child this summer.

The campers are usually broken into groups by age and riding ability. We start off the week off with a bang. First was the farm tour, then off to crafts and on to grooming finally on our first day the kids in each group ride! The week speeds by with more riding, tours of breeds of horses, live farrier demonstrations (where the kids each got their own lucky horseshoe), games, learning patterns in the arena, scavenger hunts and lots of teamwork and respect. Parents are invited on the last day of camp to attend a Horse Show where campers show off their abilities and what they have learned.

The Intermediate camps continue on the building blocks set by the Beginning Camp. Students in the Intermediate camps start to really excel. We continue with riding skills and also learn more in depth horse care skills such as worming a horse, giving shots, visiting a vet clinic, wrapping legs and understanding more types of equipment and their purpose.
